Biography

Mexican artist born in Mexico City in 1951. From 1971 to 1978 he studied Graphic Communication and Visual Arts at the National School of Plastic Arts of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM).

Alberto Castro Leñero is a Mexican artist born in Mexico City in 1951. From 1971 to 1978 he studied Graphic Communication and Visual Arts at the National School of Plastic Arts of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). From 1978 to 1979 he studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna, Italy. During this same period, he collaborated as an illustrator in various cultural and educational publications. From 1982 to 1987 he was a teacher of Visual Experimentation at the National School of Plastic Arts of UNAM. In 1996 he participated in the exchange program with residence in New York, USA. He is a member of the National System of Art Creators (SNCA) and participates in urban art projects as "Elements" in the Collective Transportation System (STC). He currently works in painting, sculpture and graphics.
