López Armentia is a sculptor and painter. Was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, 1949. His interest in the temporary and the permanent is reflected in episodes and objects of daily life, almost always in the “space and time of the city”, and he refers to a relief of the mundane, adding dreams and desires. His works have been exhibited individually at Reece Gallery, New York (1999) and Altera Gallery, Buenos Aires (2000). His group exhibitions include the Venice Biennale (1997) and the II Mercosur Biennial, Porto Alegre, Brazil.
His works are part of the collections of the following institutions: National Museum of Fine Arts, Buenos Aires; Museum of Modern Art, San Pablo; House of the Americas, Havana; and the Andean Institute of Popular Arts of Quito.
