María Emilia Benavides

Biography

She is a renowned plastic artist with more than twenty individual exhibitions and about 15 group exhibitions. In addition, she has designed several covers for major magazines and books. She studied a degree in Art History at the Universidad Iberoamericana and at the Centro de Arte Mexicano. Her drawing and painting teachers were Fernando Castro Pacheco, Ana María Landín, Luis Delarue, Robin Bond, Helen Lavista, Walter Boelsterly and Pedro Ascensio. She attended several seminars in art and humanities both in Mexico and in the United States. She is a member of the Salón de la Plástica Mexicana and of the Sociedad Mexicana de Autores de las Artes Plásticas.
