He was born in Bogotá in 1951. He developed his pictorial work between Mexico City and Oaxaca, where he lived for many years. Rebolledo was a very active artist to animate and participate in Mexican cultural life, but also to promote initiatives on Colombian culture in this country, such as the Cultural Week of Colombia in Mexico, which was held in the late 1990s, and the magazine La Casa Grande.
Rebolledo, a member of the Suma group, produced work for 50 years. He studied drawing and color in Bogotá; his father was also the artist Gonzalo Rebolledo Arboleda.
Living in Mexico since 1975, he studied at the National School of Visual Arts of San Carlos, at UNAM. He was a teacher of poster, painting and mimeography in institutions of the SEP and also with the ISSSTE.
He participated in many different group and individual exhibitions, and his work was recognized with international awards and distinctions. Rebolledo's paintings appeared in various Mexican and Colombian publications, and were recognized by critics in different publications.
In 2017, when he exhibited at the gallery of the Seminario de Cultura Mexicana, he recalled that he came to Mexico seeking to learn about Muralism. But then he explored other forms with other creators; He joined the Suma group and worked with artists such as Mario Rangel Faz, Gabriel Macotela, René Freire, José Barbosa, Paloma Díaz and Jesús Reyes Cordero. He also worked and was close friends with Felipe Ehrenberg.
He passed away in June 2020 in Bogotá
