Dear friends of the Casa Gama community. It is an honor to be able to share with all of you the latest from our artist Marcel Aragonès. Below I would like to share with you an e-mail in which he tells us about his most recent project with Joan Punyet Miró (grandson of Joan Miró).
Dear friend Vicente, how are you?
I already told you that I am carrying out intense artistic collaborations with my friend and artist Joan Punyet Miró, Joan Miró’s grandson. For me it is a dream to work with him since everyone knows my fascination with the work of his grandfather, whom I met when I was a child. Years have passed and destiny has given me the opportunity to paint with Joan, with whom we have created a collection of works (four hands and two hearts) that we are going to exhibit this December. Could this be what they call “life’s coincidences”? 🙂 🙂
The joint exhibition will be in Barcelona, at the Marc Calzada Gallery. We will open on Thursday, December 21 from 7:30 p.m. I know it’s complicated, but I would like to invite you and the entire Casa Gama community. I am attaching the invitation, some photos of the works and of Joan and myself during the creation process. They are a tribute to Mont-roig, our town, in Catalonia, and where Joan Miró discovered and decided that he wanted to be an artist.
I send you a big hug, I hope you are well. Say hello to your parents for me, please!!!
Additionally, we extend the invitation to the event that will take place in beautiful Barcelona.
